Rental Cars vs Public Transportation

  • Definitely want to do rental cars
  • Be care of the fees that other companies charge
  • Make sure you can drive manual, as many countries have manual only cars (low selection of automatic)
  • You can really see the country on public transportation
  • Don’t consider Uber/Lyft public transportation, but it gets the job done
  • If you do rent a car, make sure to pay with the Chase Sapphire card series

  • Can be found on American, Delta, and United Airlines
  • Can save $15-$30 per flight
  • You can’t pick a seat ahead of time
  • You also will be the last to board
  • On American and United, you cannot have carry on
  • On Delta, you can have a carry on
  • There should be warning signs on the websites for American, Delta, and United
  • Make sure to be careful on third party websites, they do not give warning signs
